Cooeyana Loft is less than a ten-minute stroll to the village centre of Exeter, where you can enjoy the village vibe with coffee or breakfast/lunch at Exeter General Store.  While you are there browse The Pump Antiques or book the tennis courts. Visit Exeter railway station, heritage-listed, with its turn-of-the-century waiting room and rare two-level signal box.

All within walking distance, Exeter Park with the Village Hall and croquet courts, and Exeter Anglican Church make up the historic heart of Exeter, founded around 1821.

Exeter Village Market takes place in the Park every first Saturday and there are regular soccer games in winter and cricket matches in summer to watch.

Further afield are wineries, bushwalks in Morton National Park and many other Southern Highland attractions. We are the perfect place from which to visit Bowral, Bundanoon and Berrima.

Exeter is the best place to enjoy the Southern Highlands any time of the year. At 721m above sea level, it’s colder than Sydney and even a few degrees cooler than other towns in the Highlands, such as Bowral. Enjoy country walks with scarves and gloves on  crisp winter mornings, or come in summer for a break from the heat.
